Marianske Lazne
Unlike other resorts, Marianske Lazne offers treatment for a wide range of diseases. This is primarily due to the fact that the chemical composition of the sources are very different from each other. The following diseases are treated here:
Diseases of the kidneys and urinary tract: cystolithiasis, urolithiasis, postoperative conditions of the kidneys, ureters and prostate, non-specific chronic inflammation of the kidneys and ureters, pyelonephritis, chronic prostatitis, urethritis, prostovesiculitis, artificial kidney, single kidney, conditions after kidney transplantation.
Respiratory diseases: asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract, including chronic pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis, rhinitis, allergic respiratory diseases, including allergic rhinitis, postoperative treatment of the upper and lower respiratory tract and lungs in the stage of compensation, conditions after repeated pneumonia of a non-tuberculous nature, the effects of damage to the respiratory tract with corrosive irritating substances.

MEDICAL RESOURCES OF THE MARIANSKE LAZNI RESORT
In the vicinity of the resort, more than 160 mineral springs are in full swing, in the city itself – about 50. The water of the resort’s springs is saturated with carbon dioxide and bicarbonate salts (10-40 mg / l), so they belong to the class of natural cold acidic mineral springs. The water temperature is within +7 .. + 10 ° C. Truly unique is the wide variation in the chemical composition of sources concentrated in a small area.
The cross spring got its name from a wooden cross, standing nearby. This is one of the oldest and most actively used springs in the entire resort and belongs to the chemical group of hydro-bicarbonate-sodium-sulfate-ferruginous Marianskolazen mineral springs. It is used in the treatment of diseases of the digestive system (stomach, intestines, gall bladder, liver and pancreas jelly), metabolic disorders (obesity, gout, diabetes mellitus) and allergic diseases caused by digestive disorders. The presence of a sulfate source in water causes a laxative effect.
Rudolph’s spring is located near the colonnade of Ferdinand’s spring. Acidic waters of this source due to its diuretic effect are used in the treatment of kidney and urinary tract diseases. It has a high calcium content and is therefore recommended as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of osteoporosis, and due to its pronounced anti-inflammatory effect, it is also used for inflammation of the urinary tract.
